Evie

I met him in a snow storm…

We spent forty-eight hours trapped in the back of his pickup truck.

We fought.

We touched.

We fell.

Hard.

Storm

She literally crashed into my life…

The last thing I wanted was a relationship. Especially with a quirky chick who drove me insane. But something about her got under my skin, and into my heart.

And I had to have her.

All of her.

Now.

Falling in love in the back of a truck, just the two of us, was easy.

Dealing with psycho fans, jealous exes, and demons from the past….not so easy.

About the Author:

I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts.

My first novel in the best-selling Ashes & Embers series, Storm, published in September of 2014. I have many books and sequels slated for this series. My new spin-off series, Devils Wolves, launched in 2016 with the best-selling novel, Torn. There are several books planned for this series as well.

Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.

Book Tour w/Review – In This Breeze

Title: In This Breeze
Series: Lakeshore University #1
Author: Kathleen Maree
Genre: NA Romance
Release Date: August 24, 2017

In this Breeze (Lake Shore University #1)In this Breeze by Kathleen Mareé
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Breanna is best friends with Ethan and Jason. Though to her, they are just Eth and Jase. She tends to have all sorts of nicknames they come up with. Bree and Breezy as the most common. She doesn’t really care. She is just glad to have such good friends.

Eth has been in love with Bree and does not know how to tell her. They do everything together. He cannot imagine a world without her in it.

Jase lives a much harder life. Things do not always go his way. He is afraid of the danger his life could bring to her. He knows he must separate himself before something goes wrong.

This story is a deep and compelling tale of young love, mixed choices, and consequences that can happen. It is a start to the Lake Shore University series that jumps right out of the gate with a bang or two to get you going! I am eagerly awaiting the next title. This is character angst that I cannot wait to read more of.

“Must Read! Great New Series!” – BookPlusHeart Amazon Review

“3 Hearts, 2 Best Friends, 1 True Love….” – I Don’t Get Sundays Book Blog

“This is a captivating story full of uncertainty, secrets and the tension of unspoken and unrequited love….” – Sheena – Amazon review

A nerd. A quiet art student. A nobody.

Or perhaps, just some girl.

These are the non-spoken titles I was known as since I started at Lake Shore Uni almost two years ago now. When given the chance to leave my horrific childhood behind – I didn’t hesitate. In fact, I was ecstatic to have the door hit me on the ass on my way out of town; because the only two things I actually loved in my traumatic life…

Were coming with me.

And whilst the three of us shared the same beat-up truck when we moved here – that’s where the similarities unfortunately end.

Ethan ‘The Mule’ Jones, is kind of a super star on campus. Everywhere he goes he seems to draw attention. I guess that’s what happens when you’re headlining papers as the star basketballer for the LS Eagles. But to me, he’s just Eth. A boy who still spends his Friday nights snuggled up watching movies with me, and who walks me to classes just to make sure I get there okay. He is my best friend in every way, and I can’t imagine my life without him in it.

And then there’s Jase.

The truth is I knew from the moment I met Jase at the local skate park, when he was smoking a cigarette and teasing Eth for his poor skating ability, of how fiercely protective he was about those he cared for. From the time he blew his warm breath over my injured knee, to when he thankfully intervened on the most horrific day of my life. A day, that still haunts me when I am alone in the dark.

He saved me.

But Jase has his own demons too. Even if he doesn’t go looking for it, trouble always seems to find him. Which is why he has been absent from our lives for the past two years.

Sometimes I wonder what he’s doing.

Quite often I worry if he’s okay.

And I always, always, think about him.

Even though I shouldn’t.

From the earliest age I was a born storyteller. Ask my parents and they will tell you I had a gift for making a simple event seem like an elaborate one. Purposely? No. Innocently? Yes. It was my imaginary world that initially led me to believe I wanted to be an actor. All of that role playing and living in fantasy… it was an obvious direction for me. However, becoming quite uncomfortable with the limelight quickly saw that dream diminish. Over the years I turned my world of fantasy into stories, and eventually began writing them down. Before I knew it, ‘Cut’ had been completed. When I am not busy writing my next story, I am a working mum, housewife and sometimes hockey wag 🙂 In other words, probably some kind of circus act who specialises in juggling 😉 I hope you enjoy my blog, where I will be posting thoughts, other books I am currently reading and even sneak peeks of my novels. I encourage any feedback, comments or direct messages via my contact page should anyone wish to get in touch. I am so thrilled to be sharing my journey and hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
Dream often. Believe always.

“Kiss me.”

I cleared my throat softly even though a doctor had come in and so everyone had turned to him. “Your family is here.”

“Don’t care, can’t feel anything unless you’re touching me.”

That comment again, from before. “When you’re better, you’ll tell me what that means.”

“Tell you now.” He took a breath. “Other people touch me, it’s like nothing. When you do it, it’s like electric current on my skin, and it goes right to my heart and other places.”

“Nice.”

“You asked.” He smiled wickedly; the sarcasm had not been lost on him.”

Release Day Blitz – Beautiful Mistake

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend–smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he’d done. Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant. Only it turned out, the man I’d just told off wasn’t the right guy.

Oops.  My mistake.

Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning. Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.

This was going to be interesting…

Talk British to Me by Robin Bielman

Release Date Reveal: June 19th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

I’m not being cocky when I say I get attention from millions of women. As the Dating Guy on morning radio’s top L.A. music station, it’s my job to give the single guy’s perspective on dating, love, and sex, and I’m killing it in the ratings. The best part? I have to stay single (it’s in my contract) and with a faux British accent on air, no one knows who I really am. The mystery is part of my impressive appeal.

I love my job.

I’m great at it.

I have no trouble getting a date or getting laid.

Until I meet her. Teague Watters. She’s a breath of fresh air, and I can’t stop thinking about her. As a rule, I always leave women wanting more. But this time I want more. Teague is into me, I can see it in her eyes, yet she’s playing hard to get. Well, bring it, because I’m game for the chase.

Circumstances deem I should keep my distance so I don’t hurt either one of us. But the fact is, I’m having a hard time backing off. Because sometimes the thing you can’t have is the thing you want—and need—the most.

First we were friends. Then we were roommates. Now I want more…

What can I say about Chess Copper? The woman is capable of bringing me to my knees. I know this about five minutes after getting naked for her.

No one is more surprised than me. The prickly photographer my team hired to shoot our annual charity calendar isn’t my usual type. She’s defense to my offense, a challenge at every turn. But when I’m with her, all the regrets and darkness goes away. She makes life fun.

I want to know Chess, be close to her. Which is a bad idea.

Chess is looking for a relationship. I’ve never given a woman more than one night. But when fate leaves Chess without a home, I step up and offer her mine. We’re roommates now. Friends without benefits. But it’s getting harder to keep our hands off each other. And the longer we live together the more I realize she’s becoming my everything.

Trick is… Now that I’ve made her believe I’m a bad bet, how do I convince her to give this player a true shot at forever?

EXCERPT:

CHESS

Grumbling, I toss on some black lounge pants and my oversized Tulane t-shirt and head to the drugstore.

My head throbs by the time I get there, and my insides are writhing. I rest my hand against my lower stomach and grab a basket before calling James to complain.

I swear,” I tell him as I grab a bottle of painkillers. “It’s like this entire day has been cursed.”

He snickers. “Curse. Get it? Curse?”

I roll my eyes, even though he can’t see me. “Laugh it up. Meanwhile, it feels as if someone is playing Battleship in my uterus.”

Poor Chessie bear. At least we know why you were in such a foul mood.”

A flush washes over my cheeks. “Yeah.” Lie. Lie. Lie. A tub of salted caramel gelato makes its way into the basket.

Tell me you’re getting some gelato,” James says.

I smile. “Just grabbed it.”

Salted caramel?”

You know it.”

I find the feminine products aisle and search for my brand. “I’m going to go home, take a long bath with my gelato, and forget this fucking day.” Forget Finn. “And then I’m going to go on Amazon and buying a freaking year’s supply of tampons so I don’t have to make these kinds of emergency runs anymore.”

A low, deep chuckle rumbles from behind me, and all the tiny hairs lift on my arms.

But you’ll still need your gelato,” a familiar—fuck me, seriously?—voice points out.

My insides swoop even as my cheeks burn.

Who is that?” James asks in my ear.

I slowly turn on one heel. “The plague,” I say, glaring up at Finn Mannus’s smiling face.

From asshat to plague.” Finn scrunches up his brow. “I’m not sure if that’s a step down or a tie.”

Who is that?” James nearly yells now.

I don’t take my eyes off Finn. “I’ll call you back.”

James’s squawks of protest cut off as I hit the end button.

Are you stalking me, Mannus?”

Finn a rests his hands low on his lean hips. “Having a healthy amount of conceit myself, I have to admire yours, but no, buttercup. My buddy Woodson lives a few blocks away. It’s poker night. I’m stocking up on beer.”

It’s only then I notice a twelve pack tucked under his other arm.

And tampons?” I ask, with a pointed look around the aisle we’re standing in.

Not tonight,” he says easily. “Though we used to keep a pack of them back in college. Light flows were perfect for stopping up bloody noses.”

A snort escapes me. “Now there’s a visual.” Somehow, I’ve taken a step closer to him. He’s freshly showered, the golden brown strands of his hair still damp at his temples. And I wonder if he’s just come from the gym or practice. “So back in college you went and bought these tampons?”

Nah,” he says with a cheeky smile. “I’d ask one of the girls hanging around to get me some.”

Of course you did.” My nose wrinkles with annoyance.

Give me a little credit, Chess. I’d buy them now if I had to.”

Hmm…” I eye him, trying not to return his smile. If only because it’s more fun when he teases. “So why are you in this aisle now, if not for potential nosebleed needs?”

That’s easy.” He steps closer, a warm wall of muscle and clean scent. “I heard your voice.”

For a second I just blink. “You recognized my voice?”

His gaze darts over my face as if he’s trying to get a read on why I’m gaping at him. “Not to be…ah…rude, but you’re loud when you talk on the phone.”

Yeah, but… You recognized it.” We’d only just met. It occurs to me that I’d recognized his both times he’d snuck up on me. Then again, his voice is distinctive, flowing like hot honey when he’s relaxed or hammering down like iron to rock when he’s taking command of a situation.

A soft flush of pink tints the tips of his ears. If I wasn’t staring at him, I might have missed it. He shifts his weight. “Was I not supposed to?”

No. Yes.” I shake my head and laugh. “I don’t know.”

He grins then. “You’re cute when you’re flustered.”

I’m not flustered.” I am.
