Claire and Jude Sinclair have been living the perfect life for the last ten years. Blissfully in love, professionally successful, happily married… They have everything they want—except a baby to make their family complete. On the eve of the birth of the baby they’re planning to adopt, Jude gets traded to another hockey team in another state, and their thoughtfully planned-out road to parenthood hits a speed bump. But they didn’t survive all the turmoil of their pasts to get knocked out now. This is their game seven, and they won’t accept anything less than a win for the family they’re destined to have. This is a STANDALONE romance in the BELLEVUE BULLIES Series. ****

Changing Lines (Bellevue Bullies, #5)Changing Lines by Toni Aleo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #5, in the Bellevue Bullies series. This can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Jude loves Claire without a doubt. He wants her with or without children. Claire was meant to be a mom. She loves children and has great instincts. Not sure what will happen in the future, they get ready to move to a new team and location.

This short story is a great addition to the series, and to the characters. It was great to visit the Sinclair family again. Even in a small way this was a joy to read.

About the Author:

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.

I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.

I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!

When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.

I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?

About the Author:

Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.

Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she’s not writing, she’s either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach.

Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her series, the Las Vegas Sidewinders, Kat loves hockey. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

Release Blitz – Benched

This single dad hockey player plays to win… Benched by Elise Faber is available now!

Max Montgomery was at the height of his career, playing the best hockey of his life, and lucky enough to have a starting spot on a team that was actually a contender for the Cup.

And one by one his friends were falling in love.

Love. Now that was a dirty four-letter word if he’d ever heard one.

Max had experienced love and all of its aftereffects and where had that gotten him?

Lonely, living in an apartment, and paying alimony to a woman who’d left him at the merest sign of a hiccup in their marriage.

His only bright spot was his son. Brayden had moved back in with him a few months ago, after his mother had taken off to God knew where. Max loved having him home, but with his son only seven and him on the road for forty-two games a year, they’d struggled. Still, they’d found a way to make it work.

But then Brayden threw Max a completely new curve ball.

He wanted Max to find a wife.

Max had been there, done that, got the crappy T-shirt as a souvenir. No way would he make himself vulnerable like that again, no matter how much his son wanted it.

A puppy was a perfectly viable alternative, right?

At least that was what he’d been thinking until he met Angelica Shallows, sister to the team’s Physical Therapist guru, Mandy, and a brilliant engineer in her own right. She was gorgeous, smart, but had shadows in her eyes.

Max knew all about shadows, knew they were meant as a sign for him to stay away.

What was that about the best intentions paving the road to hell? Max may have wanted to stay away, may have wanted to abide the warning signs in Angie’s eyes, but—

The real trouble began when found that he couldn’t do either of those things.

About the Author:

Aside from writing romance, Elise’s passions are chocolate, Star Wars, and hockey (the order depending on the day and how well her team — the Sharks! — are playing). She and her husband also play as much hockey as they can squeeze into their schedules, so much so that their typical date night is spent on the ice. Elise is the mom to two exuberant boys and is thoroughly addicted to Dancing With the Stars.

About Back For More

Summer in the city…

Kurt

She’s smart, hot, and funny. My dream girl.
There’s just one problem. She’s also my best bud’s little sister.
The sparks have always been there, but law school had to come first. Now, we’re all back in the city and the same sparks fly every time I run into her.
She needs a job and I need an assistant at the law firm. What could go wrong?
I don’t know if I can hide my feelings any longer.
I know I shouldn’t go there, but I can’t help it.

Corina

My brother’s back in town, and I offer to share my awesome apartment. Imagine my surprise when his best friend Kurt walks in.
He’s still tall, dark, and handsome, and I can’t deny the pull.

Working together only complicates things. Long days and nights in the office can be dangerous.
When we’re not at the office, he’s always hanging around my apartment. To see my brother. Yeah, right.

All I know is, summer in the city is about to get a lot hotter.

After all, 425 Madison Avenue is the perfect place to fall in love.

*Each story is completely standalone.

“I’m here for Corina Davies in 1205,” I respond, my nerves rattling even louder than five minutes ago when I was seized with the instinct to see her.

“Is she expecting you?” he asks, resting his hand on the phone.

I shake my head. The guy must think I’m a weirdo for just showing up like this. He’s going to call her for sure. Sure enough, he picks up the phone. “Ms. Davies, you have a visitor,” he says, and then looks back at me. “Your name?”

I almost turn around to walk back out into the night, but I stay rooted to the spot. “Kurt. Kurt Owens.”
“Kurt Owens. Thanks.”

He turns to me again and nods. “Go ahead. Have a good evening.”

I head for the elevator, and my heart rate rises with each step. She’s gonna think I’m fucking nuts for showing up like this at midnight. And why am I doing this again? What do I hope to achieve by interrupting whatever relaxing activity she’s enjoying at this time of night? I don’t know, but the thought of seeing her makes my palms sweat. I remember that skirt she wore, and how soft her legs looked. My cock twitches at the memory of her silky-smooth legs. Fuck. Down, boy. We’re not here for that.

I step into the elevator and before I know it, I’m standing in front of her door, my hand in the air. What am I going to tell her? What’s my excuse for showing up here so late? At the very least, I have to admit it to myself—I just want to see her. I have to see her. There’s no denying the spark that flew between us the other night. All those years hadn’t done a damn thing to kill our chemistry.

It sure is ballsy to just show up here. Maybe I’ve had a bit much to drink, but I’m not drunk. I’m not slurring or falling over myself. She won’t notice.

Finally, I knock. She’s expecting me, because she opens up right away. Seeing her knocks the wind out of me. Her hair rests over her shoulders in this sexy, yet natural way; she has a hint of makeup, but not much. She doesn’t need any. She’s still a natural beauty, just like she was all those years ago.

A light pink, silk robe clings to her body and ends just above the knees. She ties up the belt, very tight, as if afraid it might slip off any minute. Or that I might see what’s underneath. I try to push the thought from my head.

“Hi,” I say, hoping I don’t look as awkward as I feel. I’m standing in her doorway, without any good reason whatsoever, like a doofus. She’d be perfectly justified in turning me away with some excuse about going to sleep or whatever. But, she doesn’t.

She stands back to let me in.

“Hi, Kurt.”

I love the way my name sounds on her lips. Her lush, rosy lips. So smooth and kissable.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mia is having a miserable year. Her mom is still pushing her to date the boy across the street. She hasn’t been on a real date in a long time. Maybe fake dating is the answer?

Jake has known Mia his whole life. Their moms are pushing them to be together because its what they want. Why isn’t anyone asking their kids what they have in mind? One kiss tears the whole plan apart……..

This was such a surprise read! These characters are wonderful and funny. The banter is top notch. I loved the parts where they were so in sync you could tell they knew one another forever. A total slow burn but a thrilling ride.

Blog Tour w/Review – Just One Of The Groomsmen

Meet the Author:

Cindi Madsen
is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.

Connect: Site | Facebook | Twitter | Goodreads

About the Book:

Addison Murphy is the funny friend, the girl you grab a beer with—the girl voted most likely to start her own sweatshirt line. And now that one of her best guy friends is getting married, she’ll add “groomsman” to that list, too. She’ll get through this wedding if it’s the last thing she does. Just don’t ask her to dive for any bouquet.

When Tucker Crawford returns to his small hometown, he expects to see the same old people, feel comfort in the same old things. He certainly doesn’t expect to see the nice pair of bare legs sticking out from under the hood of a broken-down car. Certainly doesn’t expect to feel his heart beat faster when he realizes they belong to one of his best friends.

If he convinces Addie to give him a chance, they could be electric…or their break-up could split their tight-knit group in two.

Hiding the way he feels from the guys through bachelor parties, cake tastings, and rehearsals is one thing. But just as Tucker realizes that Addie truly could be the perfect woman for him—he was just too stupid to realize it—now she’s leaving to follow her own dreams. He’s going to need to do a lot of compromising if he’s going to convince her to take a shot at forever with him—on her terms this time.

Excerpt:

Tucker cautiously wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and when she didn’t shove him off, the way she’d done a few times back in the day when he’d dared to console her, he curled her closer. “Don’t worry. I’ll take it to the grave.”

“I’m not sure I can chance that. I might have to push you off the back of the boat now.”

“Sure. If I didn’t know how to swim, that’d be a fail-safe plan.”

“Maybe the gators will get to you first,” she quipped, only then she tucked her feet up, like she’d remembered there might be a few of the toothy beasts slumbering in the water, despite the fact that they rarely saw any on this side of the shore. She swiped a tear off her cheek and sniffed. “I hate feeling weak. Hate feeling like a girl. Even though I’m apparently not one.”

“You’re not weak. I’ve seen grown men cry in my office, so I don’t think it’s a girl or guy thing.”

“I notice you didn’t admit to crying yourself.”

He puffed out his chest. “Well, that’s because I’m far too macho.” The last few times he’d gotten choked up had been over his dog having to be put down, his grandfather passing away, and—even though he’d done his damnedest to hide it—the day he’d said goodbye to his friends before leaving town.

The girl at his side was there for all those instances, but his conflicting feelings for her made it hard to admit to ever being anything but strong. Like not saying it aloud would make her forget bike wrecks and scraped knees that’d brought tears, the times in his life he hadn’t stood up for other people when he should’ve, or any other time he’d been less than strong.

Just do it, Crawford. Find a way to make her feel better, the way she always did for you.

“There were cases, ones where I was fighting for a worthy cause, or for someone who truly deserved a break, and it didn’t matter how much research I put in, or how hard I fought, I’d still lose ’em. That made me feel weak and helpless.” Those “cases were why he’d originally chosen law, but they’d been so few and far between. “So did the cases where we had to defend people knowing full well they were guilty.”

He gazed out over the lake, unable to look at her as he admitted the next part. “I missed home and all of you guys, but I quit over more than that, and more than the long hours.” His fingers drifted down her arm, and her face tipped up, but he kept his eyes on the rippling reflection of the moon in the inky black water. “One guy walked on a stupid technicality because of something I’d found in the police report—some procedure the cop didn’t follow. Everyone at the firm was celebrating, and I was sick over it. The guy deserved to go to jail, and no amount of money seemed worth ignoring that fact. It was the final straw.”

Addie covered the hand he had on her arm with hers. “Most people wouldn’t have been able to walk away from the money.”

“I don’t know about that. Half the time I still think I was an idiot to quit like that with no backup.”

“If it makes you feel any better, I’m glad you’re here.”

He met her big brown eyes and smiled. “It does.”

“I’m sorry you were so unhappy. I should’ve checked in more.”

“I should’ve told you that I was struggling with my job. But that’s neither here nor there. Now I’m on a different path, and all’s I’m saying is, it’s not weak to care about things. You’re not a robot.” He renewed the drag of his fingers on her arm, and her chin lifted another inch or so, some of the sorrow fading from her features. He tried not to think about how close her lips were to his, how he felt each one of his heartbeats, and how having her tucked against him made his entire body hum. Despite knowing better, he couldn’t help the words that slipped out, or that his dipped when he said them. “It also hasn’t escaped my notice that you’re a girl.”

Just One of the Groomsmen (Getting Hitched in Dixie #1)Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Addison AKA “Murph” is the only girl in her group of friends. She is one of the guys and she likes it that way. Why not hang out with those you have more in common? Well with a wedding to be a part of this could be interesting.

Tucker has always loved his home and his friends. He misses them and realizes that he is pretty lonely. When he suddenly notices the body on one of his closest friends he finds he must re-evaluate his priorities.

This was such a fun start to the new series. I find this author to be a must click – and I will tell you why. This story, like many of her other books, has great humor, some hijinx, and always a great tale. Let’s not forget the sexy heat and steady pace too.

Alexander “Rush” Markov has been given an ultimatum by his team—shape up or ship out. Alex is celebrating his biggest season in professional hockey, and he’s enjoying every minute of it—perhaps a little too much. He’s been non-stop partying like a rockstar since his team won it all, and management isn’t pleased. Next thing Alex knows, he’s been exiled to a remote island with orders to lay low, stay out of trouble, and avoid one-night stands.

Rosalind Newcomb is the quintessential good girl, and she’s fine with her role. Sure, she gets lonely and wishes for a special someone, but the choices on Madrona island are slim to none. When a panty-melting mystery man disrupts the peace and quiet in her bookstore, it’s dislike at first sight. The infuriating man turns her ordered life upside down and inside out and has her thinking about hot summer nights and tangled sheets.  Only Alex isn’t who she thinks he is, and love isn’t all hearts and roses.

As Alex battles who he pretends to be and who he really is, he also resists falling in love for the first time in his life. His intense feelings have him ready to bolt, and only he can decide if love is worth fighting for.

Deflected (Game On in Seattle, Seattle Sockeyes Book 9)Deflected by Jami Davenport
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #2, in the Madrona Island series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to understand the characters and the series better, I recommend reading this series in order.

Alex AKA “Rush” is temporarily banished to an island to learn to calm down. His team is concerned that he cannot stop his partying ways. His drinking and playing around is catching up to him.

Rosalind meets Alex for the first time when he comes into her bookstore. As a sheltered good girl, she does not recognize the Stanley Cup wining player. They clash and hate one another almost instantly. But there is still a serious attraction on both sides…..

I enjoyed this story. From start to finish you felt the tension and heat between these two. I loved the banter and the fact that they truly had a lot in common once they took the time to find out.

Blog Tour w/Review – A Really Bad Idea

We’re celebrating the release of A Really Bad Idea by Jeannine Colette! One-Click yours on any platform today!

Title: A Really Bad Idea
Age Group: Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 14, 2019
Book Description:

Everyone has a best friend. Mine just happens to be Dr. Christian Gallagher— the gorgeous, green-eyed heart surgeon who wants to have a baby with me.

Yes, you read that correctly.

When my mother approached me on my thirty-third birthday with a brochure for egg freezing, it was a glaring reminder that my biological clock is ticking toward its expiration date. I’ve always dreamed of being a mom and had a plan — one that was destroyed when I caught my professional hockey player husband in bed with another woman.

Despite my broken heart I still believe in love. I want the happily ever after, but I also want a child desperately and won’t settle in order to make it happen.

That’s why when I decided to take my mother’s advice, Christian came up with his own plan: Let’s have a baby together.

It’s a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. And yet…I can’t stop thinking about how great it could be.

There’s just one condition. Before we have sex (oh, yes, we’re doing this the old fashioned way!) Christian is adamant we go on three dates.

Sounds easy, but it’s not.I thought sex would be the hard part, but the dates are only making me fall for the man I’ve known almost my entire life.

Whoever said sex doesn’t change things never went to bed with their best friend.

A Really Bad IdeaA Really Bad Idea by Jeannine Colette
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Meadow has decided she is sick of everyone pressuring her to find someone new and settle down. Her mom gives her a brochure to freeze her eggs and plan to one day have a baby. Then her best friend surprises her with a plan.

Christian has been in love with his best friend for some time. He only plays the field to cure himself of the lonely nights. When a chance appears to have a future with his best friend – how can he not take it?

Such an amazing story! I loved the banter, and the heat. The pace was good too. These characters made me feel at home. I sure hope we will see them again. I really could not put this one down.
